South Walton Festivals and Events

Celebrating the finer things in life is a yearlong event at the Beaches of South Walton. With food and wine festivals, art events and live performances, the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast is host to some of the most well-known and well-attended festivals in the Southeast.

Sample vintage and emerging wines as well as fine cuisine at three of the area’s most notable events – the Sandestin Wine Festival, held annually in April at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort; the Southern Breeze Wine and Culinary Festival, held in the fall at Rosemary Beach; and the Seeing Red Wine Festival, held each November in Seaside. These well-established fests raise a glass to the ever-growing wine industry and celebrate with auxiliary wine dinners leading up the weekend event.

The nationally-ranked ArtsQuest and the MountainFilm Festival are two of the area’s most unique and best arts festivals. ArtsQuest, held each year in May at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, showcases more than 100 artists working in a variety of mediums from all across the country. Each artist is available to meet festival goers and display their work for purchase.  MountainFilm, the outdoor film festival held each fall at WaterColor, features films from around the world that celebrate diverse cultures and provoke thought.

Rounding out these hallmark festivals is a bounty of year-round concerts, plays and performances held most often under the bright, coastal stars.
